WHO ARE WE?
The founder of our company, Maureen Wood, received her certifications with both the American Home Inspectors Training Institute - Canadian Division and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).
With a background in extensive renovations, rental properties, business, and community service, the birth of Town & Country Home Inspections seemed a logical conclusion.
Town & Country Home Inspections is pleased to announce that Maureen's husband Bob has joined the firm. Bob is a master plumber and has 29 years experience in the construction industry. He is a construction teacher and has also taught plumbing and steam fitting to apprentices for the last 26 years.
Bob is the companies Radon gas mitigation specialist.
Town & Country Home Inspections is a member of the business community. It is a member in good standing at both the Markham Board of Trade and the Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce.
It's founder, Maureen Wood is the past President of the Stouffville Horticultural Society, was on the executive committe of the Whitchurch Stouffville Communities in Bloom initative and was unsucessfull in her bid to represent her Ward at town council in 2006 election.
Interviewed recently she said "I have always felt that to succeed both personally and in business, one must been known for having upstanding character. It is what your reputation is based on, and what is left when you are gone."
Town & Country Home Inspections has inspected homes from Oakville to Gravenhurst but now concentrates it's efforts in the York, Durham and surrounding areas.
